Community Involvement

From supporting the education of America’s future attorneys to supporting nonprofits and charities, Richardson Law Group has a rich history of giving back to the community.

During the summer of 2015, Richardson Law Group connected with Centre College to extend an internship to Prathyu Matam that provided her with the opportunity to expand her skills and gain insight into the legal world. Education and support provided by the firm increased her experience and knowledge in the field, and allowed her to work closely with the Fayette County judicial system. Matam had already represented a teen defendant through the Teen Court Program before her internship, and we worked to cultivate her interest even further. You can access Centre College’s article about Matam’s internship here (HYPERLINK).

In addition to internships, Richardson Law Group has provided scholarships to students at the University of Kentucky College of Law.

Richardson Law Group’s commitment to community involvement stems from our own employees’ desire to lend a helping had. We have supported many programs in which attorneys and staff are involved, including:

  • Participated in "Habitat Build" event with the Lexington Habitat for Humanity. (2018)

  • Sponsored a “Love Your Neighborhood” event with the Lexington Habitat for Humanity and the Bluegrass Claims Association, which worked to provide exterior repairs to homes around Lexington. (2017)

  • Sponsored and served a meal at The Hope Center, a local non-profit that works to assist those in poverty in Lexington.
